A fun afternoon of tech discovery with KWMC and Mother Cyborg - a visiting artist from Detroit, USA!
About this Event

Get hands on with creative tech and learn some skills along the way.

A DiscoTech is a fun interactive format for discovering technology through playful learning and conversation. Discotechs were founded in 2010 by the Digital Justice Coalition, to which Mother Cyborg was a cofounder. Their purpose was to promote the idea and act of Digital Justice. This is the first time a DiscoTech has come to the UK!

We are honoured that Mother Cyborg who was part of founding DiscoTechs in Detroit will be joining us all the way from the USA to help bring this to you in Knowle West.

Find out more about the history of DiscoTechs HERE.

DiscoTechs have the potential to provide a positive and hopeful experience for youth and seniors, creating a platform where we can teach and learn with each other in ways that allow us to investigate ourselves and our communities. This creates pathways toward solving problems collectively rather than waiting for others to solve them.'' - Detroit Digital Justice Coalition.

What to expect:

Imagine a fair where you get to move around areas and learn things in quick bursts along the way - from A.I to music making - more info about the different stations coming soon.

There will be a live DJ, conversations, good vibes and free dinner.

All ages welcome, no experience needed. Family friendly (children must be accompanied by an adult).
