Bristol Brass & Wind Ensemble will welcome spring with a selection of classic and modern wind ensemble music. The band, under the direction of Kyle Camerato will perform Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3 pm at Prospect United Methodist Church, 99 Summer Street, Bristol, CT 06010.
One of our selections will be “Juba Dance”, the third movement of American composer Florence Price’s First Symphony. This historic piece was the first symphony by an African American woman to be performed by a major American orchestra. Other selections will include “Sailing with Whales” by Rossano Galante, “Armenian Dances” by Alfred Reed, “Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo” by Malcolm Arnold as well as other selections.
Prior to the concert, Bristol native, Samantha Dena will be selling candles that she has designed and hand painted. A portion of her sales will help to support the band.
