Brisbane Solo Riders is hosting a charity toy run on Saturday the 28th of February, supporting Starlight Children’s Foundation and the amazing work they do for seriously ill kids and their families. This is a relaxed, social group ride with a big heart: we ride together, deliver brand new toys to Starlight’s Brisbane office, and show the community the positive side of motorcycle culture.

Destination: Starlight Children’s Foundation – Brisbane Office, Level 8, 189 Grey Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101
Start point: As majority of you are Northsiders, more then happy to meet at the Pelican Park Boat Ramp - 145 Hornibrook Esplanade, Clontarf QLD 4019
Meet time: Around 8:15 meet for 9:00 am stands up
Arrival at Starlight: Approximately 9:45-10am
Finish: After toy drop‑off, riders are free to head home or join us on a possible after party ride (TBC)
Toy and donation info:
Please bring at least one brand new toy suitable for children or young people (no second‑hand items).
Where possible, avoid toys that are violent, overly fragile, or hard to clean (think board games, arts & craft kits, books, small LEGO sets, dolls, soft toys with tags, puzzles, etc.).
I will include an attachment that further explains what can and can't be brought.
Pack toys securely so they can be carried safely on your bike.
Ride plan and safety:
This is a fully legal, fully respectful ride – no stunts, no hooning, no exceptions.
All riders must:
Follow QLD road rules and ride to conditions and their own limits.
We will:
Do a quick pre‑ride briefing to cover route, formation and safety expectations. Ride at a steady, inclusive pace so a range of bikes and experience levels can participate.
If you’re new to group rides, come a bit early so we can run through how the formation works and answer questions.
On arrival at Starlight:
We will park as directed to keep things safe and tidy around Grey Street and the office building.
Toys will be carried up (or handed over as arranged) to the Starlight team at Level 8, 189 Grey Street, for an organised handover and, if possible, a group photo.
Please be respectful around the office and any nearby families, staff, or building tenants – this is about the kids and Starlight.
