Come and discover the joy of brioche knitting in this friendly, hands-on class designed to make this beautiful technique simple and enjoyable.You’ll learn:
✨ How to knit plain brioche and two-colour brioche, both flat and in the round
✨ How to use increases and decreases to shape your work and form delightful patterns in the brioche ribs
✨ A clever hack that makes brioche knitting quick and easy
✨ How to start the stunning “Westward Leading” star pattern – a beautiful project that showcases your new brioche skills
All instructions will be clearly demonstrated and explained, with plenty of time for practice and personal help. By the end of the day you’ll have the confidence to tackle brioche projects without fear – and with a smile!
Materials:
Please bring:
🧶 Two contrasting colours of smooth, solid or semi-solid DK-weight yarn (at least 50g of each)
🪡 3mm needles for knitting both flat and in the round: either a 80cm circular needle (for magic loop method) or a set of 20cm DPNs.
📎 Stitch markers, a small pair of scissors, and a darning needle
Suitable for confident knitters who are comfortable with knitting, purling, and following basic patterns.
Tea and coffee will be provided – please bring a packed lunch or pre-order from Lucy’s Little Bakehouse.
