Apprenticeships in Traditional Arts is a grant program funded by the Pennsylvania Creative Industries. As a regional Folk Arts Partner, SFMS's Susquehanna Folk Arts Center works with local artists to support them in their applications: https://sfmsfolk.org/folkarts/grants.html. Sadly the Folk Traditional Arts Partnership is being sundowned this year. You can learn what you can do to save state support for the Traditional Artists that bring so much light to our area HERE: https://www.creative-pennsylvania.org/about
Feeling inspired? Ask SFMS folklorist Amy Skillman, who will be hosting the event, about apprenticeship opportunities for masters and learners. The funding outlook is uncertain, but one never knows.
We are incredibly appreciative for all our friends at the Fredricksen Library for joining us again in presenting this event!
