Bringing Home the Fire
About this Event
All year you've been working hard out in the world, growing and gathering, burning through the long daylight hours on a journey all your own. As the wheel turns toward harvest, this Confident Witch Circle asks : what are you bringing back home, and who are you bringing it home to? We meet the gods of community and inspiration together, following the story of Kvasir — the spirit of community made flesh, killed for his gifts of wisdom, his blood transformed into the Mead of Poetry — and the storyteller Bragi, who keeps the fire of inspiration alive. It's a myth about the sacred spark that lives in every one of us, and about why the gifts we give our people are never entirely ours to control.
From there we turn to practice. You'll explore the Heart chakra and its human patterns, and find your sovereign place inside the connected web of humanity. Then we work the cakes and ale rite together, breaking it into its living parts: grounding the power we raise, sealing the communion of the circle, and feeding both the community body and the community spirit. You'll leave with a gratitude-journaling practice built for connection, a deeper feel for the myths beneath the shared cup, and a real sense of what it means to carry the fire home. Everyone is welcome, no prior classes or commitments required.
