About this Event
Discover the power of planting native flowers to invite beneficial insects into your urban farm. In this practical agricultural workshop led by the folks at Meadow City Native Plant Nursery, we will explore which native plants best support pollinators like bees and predatory insects that control pests naturally. Learn optimal planting periods, planting techniques, bloom timing, and maintenance practices to boost biodiversity. These techniques will enhance pollination, reduce pesticide use, and create a healthier, more productive urban farming ecosystem throughout Greater Cleveland.
We hope you can join us!
**This event is outdoors on a working plant nursery where you will be surrounded by nature. Ground and terrain may be uneven. We recommend comfortable shoes, sunscreen and a hat.**
This workshop will take place rain or shine. In cases of extreme weather, we will contact you 24-36 hours prior to the event if we need to cancel.
