Bring Back Bob Official Mural Unveiling with music by Higher Heights Reggae
About this Event
Bring Back Bob
Official Mural Unveiling with Higher Heights Reggae Band
For decades, a larger-than-life Bob Marley mural stood watch over Cafe Negril on Frenchmen Street. Originally painted in 1990 by New Orleans artist Dwayne Conrad, the mural became a beloved landmark and gathering place for music lovers from around the world.
When the mural was covered years ago due to building and fire code requirements, many thought it was gone forever.
Today, thanks to the support of our community, we are proud to welcome Bob back.
Join us for the official unveiling of the newly recreated Bob Marley mural during Essence Festival weekend and be part of a historic moment on Frenchmen Street.
