Brigitta Winkler is a pioneering tango artist and teacher whose career bridges continents, disciplines, and decades. Originally trained in ballet and modern dance in Germany, she discovered Argentine tango in the early 1980s and immersed herself in its culture through extensive studies in Buenos Aires with legendary maestros including Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Antonio Todaro, Pepito, Carlos Copes, and Gustavo Naveira. She co-founded the groundbreaking Tanzart studio in Berlin and later Tango Mujer, an all-female ensemble that redefined tango performance on stages across Europe and the U.S., including Symphony Space in New York and the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.
Based between Berlin and New York, Brigitta has taught and performed in more than 30 cities across North America and at major festivals worldwide. Her work integrates tango with Body Mind Centering, Authentic Movement, and yoga, offering a uniquely creative and embodied approach to the dance. Celebrated as one of the first women to open new spaces for tango pedagogy and performance, Brigitta continues to inspire dancers with her artistry, depth of knowledge, and visionary teaching.

Prices:
Early-bird full weekend pass $175 per person, $300 per couple. Valid until October 15th.
Regular full weekend pass $200 per person, $325 per couple.
