Stroll through 250 years of Jewish history in Brighton. Our walking tour combines historic and religious sites with fascinating stories.
About the Tour:
This guided walking tour starts in the heart of historic Brighton, at the entrance to the city Museum.
From there, our walk will take us on a journey through Brighton’s history including details of events and places where the Jewish community has been a central part of life in the city since the 18th century.
We will wind our way through the streets and 'twittens' of the Old Town, noting Blue Plaques to some of its former Jewish residents and hearing their stories, discovering near-forgotten sites of Jewish shops and schools in the heart of Brighton, and also visiting the location of its early synagogues. This one of a kind tour is not to be missed!
Useful Information:
Meeting point: Entrance to Brighton Museum & Art Gallery
End point: We'll end our tour back at the Royal Pavilion Gardens.
Cost: £15 per person.
