Medicaid Enrollment Session – Get Support for You & Your Family

Join us for a 30-minute Medicaid enrollment session where eligible families can receive assistance applying for health coverage through Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) for their child.

Our team will guide you through the application process, answer your questions, help determine eligibility, and assist with renewals or checking your application status.

Medicaid in Texas provides free or low-cost health coverage for doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, preventive services, and more for qualifying individuals and families.

You may qualify for Medicaid if you are:

• Pregnant
• A parent or caretaker of a child under 18
• A child or teen (0–18 years old)
• 65 years or older
• An individual with a disability
• A low-income adult who meets eligibility requirements

(Some families may also qualify for CHIP if not eligible for Medicaid.)

To help complete your application, please bring (if available):

• Valid photo ID
• Social Security numbers (or proof of application) for household members applying
• Proof of income (paystubs from the last 30 days or benefits letter)
• Proof of address (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
• Information about current health insurance (if applicable)
• Immigration documents (if applicable)

If you do not have all documents, you are still encouraged to attend — we can help you understand next steps.

Important: U.S. citizenship is not required for everyone applying. Eligibility depends on household circumstances, and our team can help review your options confidentially.
