Join Areté Vocal Ensemble for an unforgettable afternoon of American masterworks!
Areté Vocal Ensemble, a renowned professional vocal ensemble based in Thousand Oaks, California, launches its 17th season, Journey Through American Song, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. This milestone season invites us to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all who call America home, and look ahead to the future we want to create together.

The opening concert, Brightest and Best, celebrates the musical innovations of America’s brightest composers, both native-born and immigrant. Under the direction of Dr. Wyant Morton, the full ensemble will perform the luminous works of Ola Gjeilo with piano and string quartet. Members of Areté Vocal Ensemble will also shine as soloists, offering arias and art songs by beloved composers including Morten Lauridsen and Eric Whitacre.
