Brighter Days [Vintage Dance & House]

We're running it back at Café Balearica for Brighter Days – our vintage dance & vocal house night. As always, 21+ legally. 30+ culturally. Pizza included.

It's a Matinée event, so you can expect to have a wild night that ends at 10pm surrounded by a beautiful crowd of seasoned aka Millennial(ish) party people. Here's our Reel from the last Brooklyn event.

For those that have been to a Matinee before, a few differences to note...

Our "Matinee Disco" collaboration with Joyface is still going strong, but for Brighter Days we're going across the river to Brooklyn at Café Balearica. For those who haven't been, it's an immaculate 2-story disco on the corner of N11 & Berry. Upstairs is a light & plant-laden lounge, while the basement is a deep disco. Check it out on IG.

There's two floors. In the basement, we'll go full club vibe. Expect mostly 80-00s dance & vintage vocal house. Although tbh we tell our DJs to get creative at this event and mix both originals, remixes, and tracks inspired by the vintage sounds.

Upstairs, we'll be keeping it groovy. More electronica and disco house for the most part, but really whatever gets the people moving.

With Matinée, you can have both.
It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7pm to give you a second wind.

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
