Calling all house heads, rave kids, and dance music lovers: relive the time when the dance floor was at its purest. Brighter Days is Matinee's homage to the foundational house, trance, and dance music scenes of the 90s & 00s from NYC to Chicago to Ibiza. Matinee is taking over Brooklyn's best venues, featuring award-winning sound systems, to bring back the hypnotic sounds that once lit up dance floors at Limelight and Amnesia.

Expect a night full of classics, deep cuts, and anthems that defined a generation. Non-stop high-energy grooves, retro synths, diva vocals, and that unmistakable four-on-the-floor transcendent feeling—all before your bedtime. Whether you came to two-step, sweat it out, or reconnect with the feeling of loosing yourself, this is your house hedonist sanctuary.

Love to party, but also love a good night’s rest?With Matinée, you can have both.It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7:30pm to give you a second wind.

Hosted by a few of NYC’s funkiest disco & dance DJs, Matinée has been selling out one of New York’s most beloved discos with sets that past Matineers have called “an undeniable feel good sound” and “the best night of my life”.

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
