A founding member of the psychedelic rock band Medusa’s Disco, Root developed his voice onstage before stepping fully into his solo work. His 2023 release Arkansas marked a turning point. It is an intensely personal album shaped by loss, memory, and reflection. Created in tribute to his late brother, the record draws from formative years spent in Arkansas, weaving together stories that feel lived-in because they were.
