Bright Notes, Bright Futures is a 4-week FREE Music Therapy Group for preschool children with a disability, ages 3-5 in partnership with Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte, that will be offered at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library - Sugar Creek in December.
Please note the program will meet on Wednesdays, December 2 - 16, and then Monday, December 21, from 9:30 - 10:00am.
The program aims to improve emotional wellbeing intertwined with literacy skills (e.g., children more ready to attend to shared reading, participation, and self-expression). Over time, these outcomes help to prepare children for school readiness, more positive peer relationships, etc. To assist these goals, children will receive "take home" materials related to the curriculum, and printed resources to connect these issues within their family & community. Limited space for enrollment: first come, first serve.
