On Wednesday 11th at 8pm John Behr, Regius Professor of Humanity, Aberdeen University, will speak on Seeing Things from the End.

Registration and Payment for the 2023 conference is online. To register send an email to Rev George Lind at [email protected] - You will be sent the Eventbrite link. If you have queries, please contact George on that email address. Registration is £25 (£20 for the unwaged). The daily charge for Tuesday and Wednesday is £45 (including lunch and coffee). Therefore, if you are attending for the whole conference the cost is £115 (£110 for unwaged), but if you are attending for only one day then it is £70. Any booking OTHER than the standard £115 one will mean you will need to send a cheque payable to SCTS to George who will supply his mailing address when you contact him. You are required to book your accommodation direct with the Peebles Hydro Hotel on 01764 651846. Please be aware that the hotel booking system is a little complicated as follows: The hotel number given is the one for Crieff Hydro where you get 4 options and for booking to stay at Peebles Hydro, you press 1. Unfortunately, they then tell you to book on the website, and you are cut off. (If you go to the website, there is no obvious way to book at the conference rate.) You therefore need to press 2, to get an operator, and then you can book at preferential rates quoting “SCTS conference”, though they then send a link by email to your computer to make the payment. From evening on Monday 10th of January to departure on Thursday 13th the DB&B costs are £247.50 single room; £283.50 double room (single occupancy) £387 double room two people. As well as the conference this gives residence access to all the Peebles Hydro facilities. See peebleshydro.co.uk

You can access all the sessions via a Zoom link or watch recordings later if you are unable to attend, for the payment of the Registration fee of £25 (£20 for the unwaged). A separate Eventbrite page is being set up for this.
