About this Event

The 20th Annual Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference, the premier gathering of property experts from the practicing bar and the legal academy in the United States, will take place on Friday, October 27, 2023 at William & Mary Law School. The Conference will be preceded by the Brigham-Kanner Prize Gala Dinner on Thursday evening, October 26, which will honor the work of Professor Gregory Alexander for his many contributions to our understanding of the role of property rights in society. Friday’s panels include: Property and Propriety (or a Well-Ordered Society): A Tribute to Gregory S. Alexander; Equity’s Role in Defining Property Rights; a Roundtable on Emerging Issues; The Restatement’s Impact on Property Rights; and The Scalability of Property Rights and Implications for Constitutional Protection. A celebratory 20th anniversary reception will follow.
