The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner alongside Birmingham Race Impact Group is hosting a Criminal Justice Race Summit.
About this Event

We would love you to register to attend our Criminal Justice Race summit, in collaboration with Birmingham Race Impact Group (BRIG), at 9:30am till 4:30pm on Tuesday 19th July at the Legacy Centre of Excellence (144 Potters Ln, Birmingham, B6 4UU). (Downstairs Auditorium)

The purpose of the event, hosted by Assistant Police and Crime Commissioner Tom McNeil, is to highlight the existing work and progress across the Criminal Justice System which is currently taking place to support people from underrepresented groups, and tackle racial injustice and disparity. But more importantly, we want to hear from the local community, partners and third sector organisations about what more we must do to promote racial equality within the criminal justice system.

We have a packed agenda covering a wide range of topics including stop and search, violence against women and girls, and criminal justice reform with guest speakers for each topic. We will also have two round table discussion sessions and a networking lunch, to share ideas and ensure that we work collaboratively to shift the dial.
