About this Event

Join us at the US Institute of Peace for a profound exploration of healing and harmony in the event "Bridging Past and Future: A Vietnamese Conversation." Co-sponsored with the U.S. Institute of Peace, this event creates a platform for open dialogue about Vietnamese and Vietnamese-American accomplishments up to 2023 (since 1975) and the road ahead for lasting reconciliation and peace. Visionaries like Le Ly Hayslip and innovative minds like Viet Nguyen will steer the conversation, exploring the profound impact of art and culture on healing and unity. For young Vietnamese-Americans, this event offers a chance to contribute to a brighter and more united future. Engage with panelists Le Ly Hayslip (writer, philanthropist and advocate), Kenneth Nguyen, and Long Tran and connect with fellow attendees in an open exchange of ideas. The event will be moderated by Andrew Wells-Dang, Senior Expert at the USIP in the Vietnam War Legacies and Reconciliation Initiative. The event is free to the public and closed to media. Former Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius will give remarks at the reception following the program.
