Homeless Garden Project and BRIDGE Foundation will be hosting an inspirational afternoon focused on cultivating hope and growing community
About this Event

Please join HGP and BRIDGE Foundation as we are partnering for a special afternoon featuring Willy Elliott-McCrea as our Keynote Speaker as well as one of the participants in Homeless Garden Project's transitional employment program.

Let's gather at the farm with good food, good drink, and good company -- all in support of meaningful pathways to hope, healing and belonging!

The BRIDGE Foundation envisions a community where all children and adults impacted by criminal legal system involvement have the resources they need to address root causes of system involvement, disrupt harmful cycles, and thrive. Their mission is to provide material support to promote rehabilitation, recover and reentry for public defender clients in Santa Cruz County. Visit their website to read some of their very first success stories.

Founded in 1990, Homeless Garden Project operates an organic farm and value-added retail enterprise as hosts to workforce development support for people experiencing homelessness. HGP's transitional employment strategy combines wage-paid work, job skills training, and supportive services to help individuals facing barriers to employment succeed in the workforce and obtain housing. Transitional jobs program participants earn a paycheck, learn skills, and receive intensive mentoring and support. Last year, 93% of graduates obtained stable employment and stable housing

As this event will be on a working farm, there will be uneven ground so we recommend that guests wear comfortable shoes. Additionally, the weather can be unpredictable so we suggest that guests bring layers.

Proceeds from this event will support both the Homeless Garden Project and the BRIDGE Foundation
