I know we say this all the time, but you will not want to miss this month's Spotlight Speakers. We are extremely proud and honored to host Wanda and Lonnie Presson.
They are lifelong residents of the greater Rockford area and have been married over fifty years.
They have been Business partners in Lonnie’s Carpet and Lonnie’s Stonecrafter’s since 1986 and just recently expanded into cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms. They both have very different skill sets and have learned how to leverage each other’s to create a very special environment where the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. Whether cutting and polishing a custom countertop from a twenty-foot slab of granite or watching one of their unique commercials, just about everyone has heard of Lonnie’s at one time or another.
From the beginning they have always had a strong faith in God and each other, coupled with hard work, the habit of setting aside extra resources that allowed them to be ready for growth and business opportunities thus allowing for business expansions and later in life. They are truly the personification of delayed gratification for the creation of success.
They have found a way to compete in a tough retail market with great products and quality service, they serve southern Wisconsin and the Madison Area and go into the Chicago Suburbs and at the same time providing good jobs and bringing tax dollars back to our communities, you could say it’s just what they do.
They have spent their whole life balancing business and family, while expanding their circle of friends and serving the community. Here’s a couple that has evolved with the times leaving a legacy for their family for generations to come.
