BrickCentric Brings Southern California’s LEGO® Community Together for the First Fan-Driven Convention in Los Angeles in 5 Years
A three-day celebration of creativity, community, and brick-building culture will feature LEGO Masters, including Krystal Star, as well as hands-on experiences and more
What: BrickCentric, the inaugural Los Angeles-based LEGO® fan convention created by fans for fans, is coming to the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel for an epic three-day weekend. The event will take place Friday March 20th through Sunday March 22nd and feature panels with LEGO Masters contestants and leading builders in the community, including Krystal Star, Tim Howell, Kimberly Griffith, Brandon Griffith, Bruce Heller, Kelly Bartlet, John Walls, and Mariann Asanuma, live builds and contests, competitive games in the BrickCentric Games Arena, seminars, and hands-on fan experiences designed to engage attendees of all skill levels. Admission will also be available to charity fundraisers benefitting Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and the 10-year anniversary of GAYFOLS. BrickCentric draws Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs) and other enthusiasts, with younger fans able to attend when accompanied by a registered adult, making it a multi-generational celebration of LEGO® fan creativity.
“BrickCentric is about creating a home for the LEGO® community in Southern California,” said Chip Snell, Founder of BrickCentric. “First and foremost, we’re celebrating the incredible talent in the area and handing them the spotlight to share their creativity and passion with others. But at its core, this event is about creating a space where people who love LEGO® can come together and build something that lasts year after year.”
Why: BrickCentric was born from a team of LEGO® enthusiasts wanting to bring the community together under one roof in Southern California. It’s the first-of-its-kind event in five years where fans, builders, designers and creators can connect, share their passion, and celebrate each other’s talent. More than just a three-day weekend, the relationships formed here will continue to grow, carrying into every future BrickCentric Convention, creating a network of fans that spans Southern California and beyond.
Who: BrickCentric was founded by Chip Snell, a LEGO® enthusiast at heart, who recognized a gap for a convention that truly celebrates the culture of the LEGO® fan community in Southern California and set out to bring it to life. Produced by BrickCentric, LLC, the event is entirely fan-driven and designed to celebrate building, creativity, and community. BrickCentric focuses on highlighting the immense talent of builders and designers of all ages, giving both local and international creators a space to showcase their work. The event fosters collaboration, learning, and lasting friendships, offering attendees numerous opportunities to connect through panels, games, and hands-on activities.
