with Jessie Pruden and the Manitobah Storyboot School

FREE for CAHRD Students & Indigenous Youth (First Nations/Metis/Inuit 12-30 yrs)
General Admission: $25

Join us for a three-hour afternoon workshop and learn to make your own pair of beautiful brick-stitch earrings!


This workshop is designed to teach classic hand sewing techniques in beading. Jessie Pruden of Bread'N'Butter, skilled Metis artist and Storyboot School instructor, will guide you through the steps of creating beaded earrings by hand. Students will be provided all the necessary tools to complete their project and will be guided through the process from start to finish.

All basic and necessary supplies will be available but we encourage you to bring beads if you prefer to use your own!


3-Hour Session

When: Saturday, July 2nd: 12:00-3:00pm

Where: CAHRD - Centre for Aboriginal Human Resources and Development (181 Higgins Ave, Winnipeg, MB in Room 421)


Additional Info: Limited Space is available. This is a FREE workshop for CAHRD students and Indigenous Youth (Metis, First Nations, Inuit) between the ages of 12 - 30, and $25 for General Participants. This is a workshop is geared towards youth 12+ and young adults. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.



FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, however children under 12 must be accompanied their parent/guardian.

Is proof of vaccination required?

Yes, proof of vaccination is required and will be checked upon arrival. Please have your vaccination card with you. Masks must also be worn during this class.

What can I bring into the event?

We will provide all materials needed, however if you wish to bring your own beads, materials etc. please feel free!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need to bring your ticket or ID, please just provide us with your name. You will be asked to sign in at the start of every class

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

If you would like for someone to attend in your place, please have them give us your name (or the name that is on the original ticket) for the first class.
