Two highly acclaimed and accomplished smooth jazz musicians team up for one night only.Keyboardist and composer Brian Simpson has worked with a jazz who’s who through the years, names like Gerald Albright, Dave Koz, Norman Brown and Boney James. And Simpson has worked with stars outside the genre, touring the world with Janet Jackson and collaborating Anita Baker, for example.
Simpson has frequently touched the upper reaches of Billboard’s Smooth Jazz and R&B charts with his albums and songs, and he has become a go-to music director for many lauded jazz events.
Joining him onstage at Myron’s will be saxophonist and music producer Jackiem Joyner, who has also set the bar extremely high during his career as a performer.
Joyner has opened for India.Arie, toured with Keiko Matsui and collaborated with the likes of Najee and Peter White. Joyner’s popular 2010 album, "Lil’ Man Soul," featured two No. 1 Smooth Jazz chart singles – “I’m Waiting for You” and “Take Me There,” and he has also found time to author several critically acclaimed books of fiction.
