Brewing on Books: Queer Advocacy Panel

We'll consider what obstacles we've overcome so far, how community members can become skilled advocates, and what might lie on the horizon for LGBTQ+ rights here in SC.

• Harlan Greene - Author, historian, and expert on Charleston's Queer history.
• Ashley Peele - Executive Director of AFFA and AFFA Action
• Zachery Williams Matthews - 2026 Prince of Charleston Black Pride
• Beau O'Bishop - First King of Charleston Black Pride royal court

A curated selection of books that explore local and national queer history, activism, and community-building will be available for purchase. Itinerant Literate will donate 15% of all sales for the week of Park Circle Pride to AFFA and We Are Family.
