BrewHaha! Pride Special

Join us on June 18th for our Pride Special featuring some of the finest queer comics from Brum and beyond! 🌈🎤😆
We've got a fantastic lineup of rising stars 🌟and award-winners 🏅 guaranteed to keep you laughing all night long.
First, please welcome our guest MC: TAL DAVIES!
Tal Davies is an award-winning comedian who’s featured on BBC Three and Radio 4. She’s supported Juno Birch, Milton Jones, Josh Pugh and more on their national tours.
Tal was on the lineup of the very first BrewHaha! back in March ’22. Since then, her comedy and writing career has gone from strength to strength. We’re hugely excited to welcome Tal back, this time as guest MC!
🎤🌈😄
Next, making his BrewHaha! Debut: MICHAEL WILKMANN
Michael Wilkmann is a stand-up comedian and dad whose comedy explores family, adoption, and gay life beyond the stereotypes. Honest, relatable, and sharply observed.
Michael is making rapid progress on the comedy circuit and we can’t wait to welcome him to the BrewHaha stage!
🎤🌈😄
Another BrewHaha! Newbie: HESTER DURANT
Brew Haha! host Rachel was so impressed by Hester’s set at Hare of The Dog that she asked her straight away if she’d like a spot! Luckily Hester said yes and we’re delighted to welcome her.
Hester is an aggressively transsexual jewess with a knack for dark comedy in poetry and stand up. She was a finalist at Lyra fest Slam 2026 and won Big Gay Poetry.
Her current dream is to be dismembered.
We can’t guarantee to make that dream come true, but we’re pretty sure Hester will be remembered!
🎤🌈😄
Returning to the BrewHaHa stage: MARY FLANIGAN!
Mary Flanigan is a stand-up, writer and performer who has appeared throughout the UK and Ireland. She was nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2023 and was nominated for the Birmingham Breaking Talent 2019 award.
Like Tal, Mary has been a BrewHaHa! favourite from the start. We can’t wait to see what crazy antics she brings to the stage this time!
🎤🌈😄
And finally, cue fanfare for our headliner: WILL OWEN!
Rated as "a queer comedic force" by
On The Mic, Will has won plaudits from far and wide.
Will's debut Edinburgh Fringe show, "Like, Nobody’s Watching," blended the camp theatrics of Saturday night TV with confessional stand-up, and was a hit with critics and audiences alike. It received five-star reviews, featured on British Comedy Guide’s Best Reviewed Shows list, and transferred with sell-out shows to The Soho Theatre.
Elsewhere, Will found success on the comedy competition circuit, culminating in him winning Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year in 2022.
Will has done tour support for Ania Magliano and Rhys Nicholson, and is preparing to tour his own show in the new year.
'biting yet with an archetypal indifference... it's a winning formula'

‘As he’s telling a story, I surprise myself by actually starting to care… He’s brilliant with a crowd, as he gives us what we didn’t know we wanted.’
★★★★ OnTheMic
We can't wait to welcome Will to BrewHaha! He's certain to bring a brilliant finale to our night of queer joy!
🎤🌈😄
