Brentsville Courthouse October 2026 Cleanup Day
Advertisement
With the leaves off the trees and summer plants dying back, we'd like to have your help with a final park cleanup for 2026 at Brentsville! We'll be tangling with more Japanese honeysuckle vines, downed limbs, and English ivy at the ground level. Cutting damaging English ivy vines and pulling them from the trees requires a skill like cutting a partially cooked potato.
No experience or knowledge needed. Wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt. Bring work gloves, water, and a hat that can get dirty. If you have a favorite clipper, pruner or sturdy rake, bring it. Meet in the parking lot of Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre at 12229 Bristow Road, Bristow, VA. Please no pets. This is a good opportunity for scout and student volunteer hours.
If you have questions or need accommodations related to disability, please contact J. Nathan McDonald at [email protected].
