Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute 2026-2027 Lecture Series presents Georgia Council on Aging – Engage with Co-Age at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 1, 2026 at Brenau University's Thurmond-McRae Lecture Hall, adjacent to the Brenau Trustee Library.
Daniel Regenstein, Executive Director, and Ashley Burton, Deputy Director, introduce the Georgia Council on Aging’s grassroots advocacy organization, Coalition of Advocates for Georgia’s Elderly (CO-AGE). The purpose of CO-AGE is to assist older adults, caregivers, and advocates to become more informed and engaged in state policymaking. Regenstein and Burton will present ways to identify and connect with legislators, as well as key aging-related priorities for 2026. They will also provide a recap of the legislative session, opportunities to raise issues affecting older Georgians, and opportunities to get involved in advocacy efforts that improve the lives of aging Georgians and their families.
