David Helbock, Aushängeschild des österreichischen Jazz, begeistert mit seinen Projekten weltweit das Publikum auf Festivals aller Kontinente. Seine Virtuosität und Kreativität haben ihm zahlreiche Auszeichnungen eingebracht, darunter mehrere Preise beim weltgrößten Jazz Piano Solo Wettbewerb in Montreux (CH) sowie den „Outstanding Artist Award“ des österreichischen Bundes.
In seinem neuesten Projekt hat Helbock die vielseitige E-Bassistin und Cellistin Julia Hofer aus Wien als Duopartnerin gewinnen können.
Hofer hat bisher vor allem in der Popwelt auf sich aufmerksam gemacht, sei es durch Tourneen mit den No Angels oder Auftritte in deutschen TV-Shows wie der von Stefan Raab.
Neben ihrer beeindruckenden Online-Präsenz auf YouTube, wo ihre Videos für die Firma Thomann Millionen von Bassfans begeistern, widmet sie sich nun gemeinsam mit David Helbock intensiver dem Jazz.
Im Herbst 2025 wird das Duo ein neues Album beim international renommierten Label ACT Music veröffentlichen.
Das Album verspricht eine faszinierende Mischung aus ruhigen, träumerischen Eigenkompositionen und groovigen Jazzstücken, die den unverwechselbaren Stil von Helbock und Hofer tragen und wird auch noch durch spannende Gastmusiker*innen ergänzt werden.
Mit einfallsreichen Effekten, rhythmischen Percussionelementen im Flügel und dem dynamischen Wechsel zwischen Cello und E-Bass verspricht dieser Abend ein außergewöhnliches Klangerlebnis und eine musikalische Reise voller Emotionen und Innovationen.
