Welcome to the Breathwork and Bodywork Workshop!
Join us at the Maidstone Community Support Centre for a beathwork and bodywork experience. This in-person event will have a trauma-informed approached, combining different elements that allow you to reconnect with your body.
Discover the power of your breath and how it can transform your body and mind. We will be doing conscious connected breathwork, where you can experience different states of consciousness, deep relaxation, release of tension, more energy, release of tension and stored up trauma. Everyone's experience will be completely different, as we all have a different story within our body's.
Conscious connected breathwork may bring about physical, emotional spiritual and psychological responses.

If you decide to book, please let me know between now and the event if there is anything that may be useful for me to know about your physical or mental health history, aches, pains, injuries, Medic*tion, recent surgeries, diagnosis etc... this information is honoured and held in confidentiality and useful for me to know when supporting your process or creating suitable adaptations.
Please note- there are certain contra-indications for conscious connected breathwork. If you are experiencing, or have been diagnosed with any of the following, please let me know so that we can discuss possible adaptations of the work.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Conscious connected breathwork is NOT suitable for people with the following conditions:
- Cardiovascular problems
- Diabetes
- High or abnormal blood pressure
- History of aneurisms
- Epilepsy or history of seizures
- Anyone taking strong Medic*tion
- Severe psychiatric symptoms - particularly psychosis or paranoia
- Bipolar disorder
- Borderline personality disorder
- Osteoporosis
- Recent surgery (past 2 months)
- Those who have a history of strokes
- Glaucoma
- Any person with a mental illness diagnosis who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support.
- Diabetes.
- Asthma.
- Those who are pregnant and people under the age of 18 years of age.
It is extremely important that you communicate any known or diagnosed health conditions, as conscious connected breathwork may compromise your health if experiencing any of the conditions or circumstances as described in the contra-indications above.
By agreeing to proceed with the session, you declare that you have communicated all known medical conditions, both mental and physical, and accept full responsibility for your own physical and mental well-being and any possible responses associated with the breathwork which may occur when participating in a session.
Possible responses to breathwork may include:-
DURING THE SESSION
- Past memories arising, insights, images, emotional release, involuntary physical sensations such as shaking, vibrating, tetany.
AFTER THE SESSION
- Sometimes you may feel tired, energised, experience sleep disturbances, feelings of tenderness, emotions arising.
These responses are a natural part of the process and will settle.
Please continue to use any prescribed Medic*tion as indicated by your heath care provider when doing breathwork sessions.
Please do not use alcohol or recreational drugs before, during or after your session.
Unearth You Therapy breathwork and bodywork sessions are not a substitute for medical or mental health care. It is recommended that you have the ongoing support of a mental heath care provider/talk therapist to support the processing of any insights, memories or emotions which may surface during your sessions/workshops with Unearth YouTherapy.

Due to the notification cancellation period required for the venue, I will not be able to give refunds passed a 7 day period.
FREE car parking available next to venue.
Please bring along the following to the workshop:
- Pen and paper
- Bottle of water
- Yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on
- Cushion
- Blanket
It is adviseable to wear trousers for the workshop, so that you are comfortable, as some movement may occur during your experience.
