About this Event

Has the climate crisis got you feeling anxious? You are not alone. Our Breathing Space drop-ins are welcoming and inclusive space, led by trained eco-anxiety facilitators, for people to come together, ask questions and navigate their climate-related emotions over a nice cuppa.

Eco-anxiety, hopelessness, and other responses to the climate crisis are often exacerbated by a sense of isolation or confusion. So talking about it with people from all backgrounds and walks of life is one of the most important things you can do.

Our welcoming and inclusive drop-ins aim to bring people together who:

 • Share a concern about the climate and ecological crises and hope for a better future for our planet.
 • Share a desire to discuss these feelings with others, and in the process gain and provide encouragement, support, and solidarity.
 • Share an interest in exploring our passions, what gifts we bring to the table, and how we can take meaningful action to address climate change, personally and collectively.

The group doesn't aim for a specific, pre-determined outcome, beyond bringing people together so that they feel less isolated in their concerns about climate change, and providing a safe and supportive space to discuss, brainstorm, and see what emerges when people come together with a shared interest and purpose.

Our drop-ins take place regularly, and are led by trained eco-anxiety facilitators from Falmouth University and Student Services. They will be held across campus and in the local community. You do not need to book in advance to attend a drop-in, and you can come and go anytime within the event timeframe.
