BREATH is a Persian-flamenco music and dance performance that explores love’s complex emotions — ecstasy, nostalgia, doubt, and healing. Beneath its soft Farsi lyricism and flamenco rhythms lies a loving tribute to Iran’s history since the revolution of 1979. The performance emphasizes self-love as the foundation for making better choices, fostering a love for others, and guiding a collective future. Light will always prevail over darkness and we can facilitate that journey by living authentically with love and all of its nuances.Follow a woman’s journey through love’s power, healing, and strength as she navigates challenges and heartbreak. Beginning with a spiritual quest (Worship and Resurrection), she plants seeds of hope in the Garden of Love and battles despair in Oriyan.
Despite unrequited love (Lovers Torment), she finds strength, rallying others to celebrate love and light in the Persian Dance. From yearning (Longings) to hope (Erev), anger (Call of the Chain Breakers) to joy (Anda Jaleo), this dance is a powerful tribute to love’s resilience.
