October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🩷 As some of you know, this is near and dear to my heart, as I didn’t get to meet my maternal Grandmother because of this disease. I watched my Mom, her Sister (my Aunt), and my own Sister battle this disease (twice). Having the BRACA 1 genetic mutation myself, compounded with my strong family history, I underwent a prophylactic double mastectomy and breast reconstruction process over the course of the end of 2023 and most of 2024 (with many hiccups along the way). So if you have been impacted by this disease in any way, whether battling actual cancer yourself or by facing or opting for prophylactic procedures, I welcome you to join me and come together as I hold space for you and all that it is you are processing, facing, or recovering from. 💕🤗Thursday, October 23rd
