Breast Cancer Support Group

Would you like to get acquainted with other women diagnosed with breast cancer in Brevard County? Facilitated by a breast cancer survivor and social worker, this close-knit caring group discusses cancer-related questions and concerns and allows those affected by breast cancer to gain support from each other. Since 1993, the group has been supporting newly diagnosed and in-treatment patients, as well as longstanding survivors, through any stage of treatment or recovery. Caregivers are welcome as well. We meet the third Tuesday monthly, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Some months feature a guest speaker on complementary therapies or cancer/health related topics.

This month don’t miss the opportunity to meet core members of the Complementary Cancer Care team, who together strive to be a comprehensive resource for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers to provide support and a holistic approach to wellness! How can incorporating mind-body exercises, creative expression, and social support improve your overall wellness? Members of the Complementary Cancer Care team—which includes oncology nurses, social workers, physical or occupational therapists, mind-body exercise instructors, and art instructor—will be available to share their personal stories of why and how they can be a resource for you, while fielding your questions and discussing your concerns.
