Panelists:

1. Ustazah Lina Salim (she/her) holds a passion for peacebuilding and has been active in promoting religious and racial harmony through her involvement as a fellow with KAICIID (King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue), ACWAY (A Common Word Among Youth) and The Harmony Centre of Singapore conducting and coordinating trainings and programmes abroad and locally in Singapore. She holds a BA in Islamic Theology and Comparative Religion from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, and an MA in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore and is currently working with Asia Centre Malaysia as a programme coordinator.
2. Amirah Ali (she/her) has over a decade of experience in marketing and communications within the non-profit sector. Her work is deeply rooted in her passion for women’s rights and empowerment, driving her commitment to making a meaningful impact. Only in her early 20s did Amirah first learn about the realities of FGC and was deeply concerned by its prevalence and the significant gaps in awareness, education, and advocacy surrounding it. She hopes to support efforts to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and advocate for the well-being of those affected.
3. Zubee Ali (she/her) is an activist and women's rights advocate based in Singapore. She is a development consultant and business owner of a training company. She is also the author of a book Dreams Of Our Daughters that shares the stories of women navigating systems to support their families. She is a happy grandmother of 5 young kids from her two daughters and two sons.
