We are excited to announce this month's Breaking the Chains study group will be IN PERSON at Mestizo Curtis Park!
We will be studying the Breaking the Chains issue More Than Survival: the Struggle for Women’s Healthcare. (No prior reading required!)
This issue examines how the inequalities woven into capitalist society manifest in a deeply unjust healthcare system, and make healthcare an important site of struggle.
We will study how people’s movements throughout history have fought for quality health care, looking at Cuba, the Soviet Union and the revolutionary Black Panther and Young Lords parties.
