In 1926, five women vanished from New Avalon, a remote island in Vermont that was once home to a commune of spiritual mediums. The only trace left behind? Five dresses hanging from the branches of an old oak tree.
One hundred years later, struggling actress Marin Keane finally gets her big break when she’s cast in a movie about the mysterious disappearances. Before filming begins, Marin and her fellow cast members travel to New Avalon for a weeklong research trip—staying on the very island where the women vanished.
There are strange noises. Mysterious symbols. An old diary that may hold answers about what happened in 1926. And then the cast finds themselves stranded on the island.
And people start disappearing again.
Is someone recreating what happened a century ago? Is the island’s supposedly supernatural history more than a legend? Or is something else entirely happening on New Avalon?
