Breaking Into The Movie & Music Industry

Breaking Into The Movie & Music Industry is an in-person event for aspiring filmmakers, musicians, actors and other creatives interested in connecting with entertainment professionals.

Presented free by the LHCC Community Workshop Series in partnership with Skye Films and HU Films, this community event welcomes people from all backgrounds. Join us on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. for a film screening, panel discussion and opportunities to connect with other creatives. Specific audition arrangements have not been listed.

Jullian Andres Boothe, filmmaker, entertainment executive and Love & Hip Hop Miami star, will share practical insights from his experience in music and independent film. Explore how to break into the entertainment industry and move creative projects forward.

The evening features The Night Shift: Last Dance, an action thriller about four dancers trapped inside a Miami nightclub during a tropical storm as criminals search for hidden money. The screening and panel will explore the filmmaking process and the business behind bringing a film to audiences.
