Breaking generational poverty | In-Person

Poverty remains a persistent challenge in Scotland, affecting families, children and especially women – even as employment rises and the National Living Wage takes effect.

This community-focused discussion will explore how low pay, insecure work, high childcare costs, and wider inequalities trap families and children in poverty.

It will highlight practical solutions, from making the workplace more flexible to improving workers' rights, that can give all working families a fair chance to thrive.

Tackling poverty requires bold political leadership, cross-party collaboration, and active community engagement to ensure that work truly enables families and children to live free from poverty.
