Breakin Portland is a groundbreaking dance theater work that brings to life the untold stories of Portland’s breakdancers—artists who have devoted their lives to this powerful urban folk art. Blending electrifying live performance with voiceovers from personal interviews and striking solo vignettes, the show reveals how breaking fosters resilience, creativity, and community.

Set to live music and framed by street-inspired art, Breakin Portland invites audiences to experience breaking as more than entertainment. It is a living cultural practice that creates connection, offers belonging, and transforms lives.

The evening also features an art gallery and auction showcasing work by local Portland artists, along with a raffle supporting the project’s community programming.
