Breakfast Workshop: Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Workplace
Join us for a workshop on how you can create an inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best, recognising the challenges of smaller businesses to ensure the right policies, procedures and practices are in place.
During this breakfast discussion, leading local employment lawyers Harriet Howes and James Conley, from Leathes Prior Solicitors, will be sharing their insights into what steps you might want to consider in your approach to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace. The session will focus on:
-Why EDI is important;
-What businesses should be doing to promote EDI in the workplace;
-What can go wrong; and
-Practical pointers to get started.
Attendees will be able to ask questions and discuss EDI issues , and will have the opportunity for exclusive access to an EDI Factsheet, and discounts on written policies and procedures and bespoke training for staff, both offered by Leathes Prior Solicitors.
Harriet Howes is a Senior Associate in the Leathes Prior Employment Team, who regularly advises business on navigating EDI issues in the workplace, as well as all other day-to-day employment law matters. James Conley is an Associate in the Employment Team, who similarly advises employers on EDI related issues. Both Harriet and James specialise in bringing and defending discrimination claims, making them excellently placed to provide valuable insight into why EDI is so important, and the strategies to put in place to promote EDI.
Supported by Empowering Communities , a partnership between Voluntary Norfolk and Community Action Norfolk alongside Norfolk Community Foundation , Norfolk Community Advice Network and FUSE Norwich , which draws together skills and experience from across the voluntary and community sector to enhance support for Norfolk-based groups.
