Breakfast with the President - Juan M. Fresquez, Jr.

Juan Fresquez Jr., MBA, is a distinguished figure in healthcare leadership and civic engagement, currently serving as President of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center within the Methodist Health System. With a wealth of experience spanning over three decades in acute care hospital management, Juan has honed his expertise in operations, leadership, physician relations, cost management, quality and process improvement, compliance, clinical quality management, and customer service.

Under his guidance, Methodist Mansfield attained the esteemed 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2020. Notably, Juan played a pivotal role in the inauguration of Methodist's first de novo ambulatory surgery center on the Methodist Mansfield campus in August 2020. Additionally, he assumed the presidency of Methodist Midlothian Medical Center upon its establishment in November 2020.

Prior to his tenure with the Methodist Health System, Juan held key executive roles with Tenet Healthcare, where he significantly enhanced patient satisfaction, quality of care, and financial performance in both the Texas and Arizona markets.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Juan is deeply committed to his family, having been happily married to his wife, Carla, for 35 years and raising three accomplished children together. He is an active participant in the Mansfield community, dedicating his time and expertise to various chamber, economic development, and community boards.

Juan has always been committed to serving his community and promoting public welfare. In May 2024, he will take his dedication to the next level by being sworn in as the Mansfield City Councilman Place 4. His decision to join the council is a testament to his unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for all residents of Mansfield. Through his compassionate leadership and civic responsibility, Juan hopes to make a positive impact on his community and serve as a role model for others to follow.
