Imamu “Mu” Tomlinson, MD, MBA, is the Chief Executive Officer of Vituity, one of the nation’s largest physician-owned, multispecialty partnerships, delivering care to over 13 million patients across emergency medicine, hospital medicine, anesthesia, radiology, urgent care, and more. He is also a practicing emergency physician.

He is the author of Less Than One Percent. This leadership book challenges conventional definitions of success and examines how societal labels and artificial barriers limit potential, particularly for those historically underrepresented in leadership. He also hosts the Less Than One Percent podcast, where he speaks with leaders across healthcare, business, sports, and culture about resilience, disruption, and building impact beyond traditional paths.

A former collegiate basketball player with Jamaican-Canadian roots, Dr. Tomlinson brings a global and deeply personal lens to leadership. He is a vocal advocate for physician ownership, frontline-driven innovation, and inclusive leadership models that better reflect the communities healthcare serves.

Beyond the C-suite, he is committed to developing the next generation of leaders through mentorship, philanthropy, and community investment. This is realized through Vituity Cares, the non-profit arm of Vituity that brings clinical services and care to communities in need, and also funds scholarships and other programs to foster tomorrow’s generations.
