Live Music and Free Entry are a match made in heaven... ?Especially when you have bands like Breakaway - NE playing in The Station!
"We are a three piece band based in Newcastle and born out of the Encore Rock
Project initiative which encourages people who perhaps haven’t played in years
to get together to make music.
We have a kind of ‘indie alternative’ sound which has come about by allowing
each of us to contribute equally as ideas gradually become songs. We like to
experiment with sound and structure to create something new and original that
doesn’t pigeon hole us and restrict what we do.
Lyrics are very important to us. Many of the songs touch on more than one
subject with a little ambiguity to allow people to gain different experiences from
the songs, however mental health is frequently touched upon.
We have played gigs in Newcastle and Sunderland and have been featured on
Nova Radio where we were interviewed and had 5 songs played. We featured in
the June issue of NARC Magazine and we have a festival appearance booked for
later this summer.
We have released 3 singles to date with over 16 thousand streams between them on Spotify. Our 4th single "Thin Skin" is out 10th August"
