A 2-hour workshop on what your nervous system is actually doing when you shrink, go quiet, or hold back — and what happens when you start
About this Event

Your body always knows what's about to happen before your mind does.

Whether it's something exciting or something terrifying. There's a signal. A shift. Something physical that shows up before you've even had a conscious thought about it.

Most of us grew up learning to ignore that. To live in our heads instead. And so now we walk into rooms, take up space, speak up (or don't) without really knowing what's happening underneath.

Going blank even though you knew the answer. Saying yes when you meant no. Laughing it off instead of speaking up. Preparing so much you never actually start.

That's not a personality trait. That's your nervous system doing its job . A job it learned a long time ago, in circumstances that probably made a lot of sense at the time.

In this workshop we're going to get curious about what's actually happening in your body when old patterns kick in. Not to fix it or fight it, but to finally understand it. And to start feeling what it's like to take up space physically, not just mentally.

It's 2 hours. It's in person. There's real methodology behind it but it won't feel like a lecture. Expect it to get a bit real. Good real. And light too.

€10 (includes a drink). Spots are limited because I want it to feel safe and intimate, not an auditorium.

Everyone who comes gets a free 1:1 craniosacral session with me afterwards. The session is a chance to take what comes up in the workshop even deeper into the body.

(Please note: the free session doesn't apply if you've already received a complimentary session with me before)

The Usual Rotterdam (Westblaak) — Tuesday 24 June — 19.00h

This is for you if you've spent a long time living in your head and you're ready to find out what your body has actually been trying to say.

Women and LGBTQIA+ folks, you're especially welcome.

Rachael Karamat is the founder of Personal Change Lab. She has worked with hundreds of clients on the patterns that keep them stuck — in their minds, their relationships, and their bodies. She spent nearly a decade in corporate change consulting before realising the most interesting change work happens in people, not organisations.
