Bread & Roses is a nonprofit arts organization with a human services mission. Founded in 1974 by the late singer-songwriter/guitarist Mimi Fariña, Bread & Roses has consistently and reliably provided services to our neighbors most in need for over 50 years.
This Event:
Golden Jam is Bread & Roses jubilee fundraiser to celebrate a milestone achievement: 50 years of bringing free live music to isolated audiences in a wide range of institutional settings in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hosted by Joan Baez, Mimi’s sister, with Bay Area journalist Ben Fong-Torres. The event will also feature an impressive and robust lineup of diverse performing artists, including Ron Artis II, Jason Crosby, Dirty Cello, Jeffrey Halford, Tony Saunders and more! All guests are invited to the welcome reception with light bites and an opportunity to bid on silent auction items. Support for the Bread & Roses Golden Jam will sustain their program of delivering hope and healing through free live music and the performing arts to our neighbors most in need of uplifting.
