BRD: Love is the Point

Join Parnassus Books for a “Love is the Point” a Romance Book PowerPoint Night, where every presenter gets five minutes to share their hottest takes, favorite tropes, most unhinged plots, or controversial opinions about the romance genre. Whether you are looking to defend surprise baby as the best trope, expose toxic book boyfriends, or instruct people on how to join a romance motorcycle club, this is your moment to shine.

Expect passionate debates, dramatic slides and plenty of laughter with fellow romance readers. Presenter signups are required, so claim your spot before the roster fills up!

All tickets are $10 (plus Eventbrite fee). Please note there are 2 ticket types for this event:

Attendee - Purchase this ticket if you just want to attend and enjoy the show!

Presenter - Purchase this ticket if you want to present a 5-minute PowerPoint during the event. Slots are limited.

• Presenters will be asked to submit their presentation to event moderator Katie Garaby one week in advance of the event for approval. Failure to submit your presentation in advance will result in loss of your presentation slot.
• No explicit imagery allowed.
• Katie reserves the right to deny any presentation deemed offensive (racist, homophobic, ableist, etc)
• Presentations are meant for entertainment purposes. Please no sales pitches for your personal products/books/services.
• Presentations should be in Google Slides or .PDF format. (Ironically, Katie does not actually have PowerPoint.)
