The goal is not just to dance, but to open the doors for the community to experience music, rhythm, and history. We want this project to be about inclusion, connection, and sharing our culture with Auckland in a way that goes beyond performance.

ABOUT:
In this workshop, we’ll dive deep into the musicality of samba, exploring how movement and rhythm come together in perfect harmony.
With live drumming setting the pulse, you'll not only feel the beat, you'll become the beat. We'll introduce you to the different styles of samba, from the rootsy swing of Samba de Roda to the high-energy pulse of Samba no Pé, and guide you through how to adapt your dance to each unique groove.
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just beginning your samba journey, this workshop is all about connection, expression, and pure energia. Let's celebrate movement, music, and community together!

Our dancers and musicians will guide you through the stories, styles, and spirit of samba, from its Afro-Brazilian origins to its vibrant presence today.
Come feel the rhythm, witness the passion, and experience the heartbeat of Brazil. This is a night of live music, dance, and cultural connection—a true tribute to the legacy of samba.
