BRAZILIAN FRIENDS GIVING THANKS - Celebration???

Let's celebrate!!!

Last month was our 16th anniversary. This is our story: about 16 years ago, at "Empire Café," a restaurant on Westheimer near Montrose, we (Décio and I) decided to start this Meetup group. Since this month is about giving thanks, what better way to celebrate our anniversary than by thanking all of you who contribute to the existence of this group.

Emporio will also be hosting an event as a thank you to friends, so we thought it appropriate to change our meeting date. For those who don't know Emporio, it's a very traditional Brazilian restaurant in Houston. They will be offering oven-baked picanha, turkey, Greek rice, salpicão (Brazilian potato salad), rabanada (French toast), and pumpkin dessert with coconut and cheese – delicious! That's how real Brazilians eat at home. Emporio makes you feel like you're in Brazil, eating at your family's house. Accompanied by guaraná and caipirinha, the national drink.

Emporio usually offers music to complete our evening, and as always we will have Bruno Santana, giving us the opportunity to listen to authentic Brazilian music: AXE, SAMBA, FORRO, and much more. An excellent musician who will make us sing and dance.

It will be a lot of fun. We will enjoy conversations, food, and the company of Portuguese speakers, something we promise you won't want to miss!

If you arrive early, the restaurant staff knows the group well and will point everyone in the right direction; just ask for the Portuguese meeting group.
